Our oldest son Keith headed for home yesterday afternoon after a three-day visit. While he was here, he helped Larry carry my two antique treadle sewing machines, a Singer and a Domestic, from the basement to the second floor. I need to glue a piece of wood trim back onto the front of one... but here they are, on the upstairs landing:

ReplyDeleteI've got two treadles also, a Singer and a White. I think it's a singer anyway. It uses a shuttle type bobbin. Need to practice with it. Are these family machines, or did you get them at yard sales?
I learned to sew on a treadle, though that was a long time ago. Wish I still had it.
