'Optical Circle' in EQ8

Playing around with EQ8 (latest Electric Quilt program). I decided to try designing something with the PolyDraw Arc tools ... just 'cuz I hadn't done that before. So here's my version of the Vortex Quilt that was made in 1910. I call it 'Optical Circle'.

Anyone know if one can decrease the width of the rings as they get closer to the middle?

Finally had time to do some sewing today; first time in a week.  Three sets down; eight more to go.

Dresdens Done for Fabric Bowls

All the petals and rays are sewn into Dresden plates for the 33 fabric nesting bowls.  That's 396 petals.  The centers aren't sewn on yet; that will be done after the bowls are turned right side out.  Here are a few of the Dresden plates:

Fabric Nesting Bowls

Today I got ten more sets of fabric nesting bowls cut (one set was already cut; there's eleven in all), and several flowers sewn.  Each bowl is made up of 12 petals and the center, and the largest bowl of each 3-piece set has three leaves.  Hopefully, the heat-moldable batting will arrive quickly.

Placemats Finished, & Cookbook Arrived

Last night I finished putting the binding on the placemats for our niece Olivia's wedding Sunday.  Today, I found a basket at Hobby Lobby that's just the right size... and by the time I got home, the mail lady had brought the mail, and the Vegetable Cookbook I'd ordered to go with the placemats was here.

Oh, and over there is Tiger enjoying the new cat bed my sister Lura Kay gave me last night.
