Another Embroidered Fruit Bowl, Double-Fleece Baby Blanket, & Next Project

My customer's tea towels are done, and so is the double-fleece baby blanket.

I'll save this for Baby Elsie's birthday, unless I should happen to need a gift for a baby girl sooner.

I have eight 5" squares left, and a strip of pink.  With these, I'll make a little 9-patch blanket and wrap it around a small stuffed animal.

And this will be my next project -- finishing these 'Monthly Hang-Ups'.
My daughter-in-law found them, partially done, at a secondhand store.
The pattern is from Karen's Kraftwear.

Machine-Embroidered Fruit Basket, & Knotted Fleece Blanket

While my machine embroidered this fruit basket, I got a little less than half of a double-thick fleece blanket fringed and knotted.  I'll do the other half tomorrow while the machine is embroidering the second tea towel.

Two-Thirds Done Quilting the Storm at Sea Table Topper

Since someone asked about the fullness that appeared in yesterday's quilting pictures, I promised a few more photos to show that there wasn't as much fullness as it appeared, and the ongoing quilting is going fine, with nary a tuck or a pucker.  The 'excess fullness' was a trick of lighting -- or, rather, the lack thereof:  I'd turned off all but a corner light, the better to show the quilting stitches (and 'excess fullness', as it turned out.

So ... here are the promised photos.  I promise not to bore you with more until the table topper is complete.

Quilting the Storm at Sea Table Topper

First row of quilting is almost done... but I ran out of bobbin thread, and didn't have quite enough oomph to go refill the bobbin.

Border #3, Storm at Sea Table Topper

Third and last border is on the table topper.  It's hard to see, as it blends in with my design wall (the carpeted floor, heh).

Now to put together the backing and load it on the frame!  I don't think I have enough batting, though.

The binding will be either dark blue or brown, depending on which fabric I have enough of to make binding.

Border #2, Storm at Sea Table Topper

Second border is on -- all 75 pieces of it -- and I'm ready to attach #3.

Two Borders for the Storm at Sea Table Topper

The first border is sewn onto the table topper, and the second one is pieced together and ready to attach.  There are 75 pieces in border #2.  The third and last simple border is cut.  I'll finish putting the borders on tomorrow, put together a back, and get it loaded on the quilting frame, I hope.
