Old Embroidered Tea Towel

I just came upon an embroidered tea towel that was one of a seven-piece set a friend made for us as a wedding gift.  We were married in July of 1979, making this tea towel 36 1/2 years old.  The embroidery is still in nearly perfect shape.  I haven't the faintest notion what has become of the other six towels in the set.

    1. The tea towel is about 30" square, the embroidered motif approximately 6" square.

And yes, the towel has been used. :-)

  2. Oh you should take a look at Kelly Cline's work and what she does with vintage pieces like this and quilting. If you just search Kelly Cline Vintage Quilting you'll see lots of pictures of quilted linens. That and she likes to add crystals and things, just like you do. Might be time to do something new with that sweet little thing.
