This pattern block is a variation of The Road to California quilt block, drawn in EQ7. The striped fabric is from a work shirt of Larry's that he ripped beyond repair when it was new enough that there were no oil or grease stains on it yet. Everyone who sees the mug rug immediately says, "Walkers' shirt," so I think I will give it to Leroy, since he often sits on Grandpa’s lap during the song service, while his daddy Teddy sings in the choir. So he is extra fond of Grandpa, and he will probably be delighted with a mug rug made from Grandpa’s shirt.
The rug measures 6 ½" x
9". Each little navy square is ½".
